ABA Play - Phase 6When your child has the skills to participate at school, we teach him to play with his peer group. (This can also happen in phase 3 or 4). We find it very important that your child will find playing with other children fun. In my experience, all children with autism like playing with other children; they just don't know how. We have to help them to know what to do when playing with other children. We see that once they have learned the right skills, children with autism often take the initiative when playing with other children. We can also teach older children the skills they need to function independently at home or at work. | ||||||||||||
